Air Force Captain's Child Molestation Charges Reversed on Appeal

I recently represented an Air Force captain, who was convicted of sexually molesting his two step daughters.  Unfortunately, this is a scenario all too often where allegations are brought against a service member in the midst of a divorce.  My client has steadfastly maintained his innocence, and there was no physical evidence to link him to the crimes.  It was just the word of two young girls.  After trial, one of the charges was dismissed, and his sentence was reduced from 10 years to four.  I then appealed his decision to the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, who affirmed the conviction.  I then appealed to the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.  Yesterday, the CAAF agreed with our position and threw out his conviction. This allows this retirement eligible officer to return to active duty.
