Mr. Cassara represented an Air Force member who was convicted of sexually abusing a neighbor’s daughter and sentenced to nine years in jail. On appeal of his court-martial conviction, the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals agreed with Mr. Cassara that the Airman’s rights were violated and that he was denied a fair trial. The Court reversed all charges and set aside the conviction, essentially wiping it out completely and fully vindicating the Airman. He will be released from confinement and returned to active duty.
