Officer's GOMOR moved to restricted fiche

Mr. Cassara represented an Army officer who received a GOMOR downrange for fraternization and “creating a perception of fraternization.”  The officer had filed an appeal with the Department of the Army Suitability Evaluation Board (DASEB) and been denied.  He then retained Mr. Cassara to represent him before the Army Board for Correction of Military Records.  Mr. Cassara put together a thorough packet including letters from current commanders, and even the soldier the officer had allegedly fraternized with.  We also included his most recent OER’s and other documents.  After a thorough review of the evidence, the ABCMR agreed that the GOMOR was flawed and that it had “served its purpose.”  As such, the ABCMR ordered that the GOMOR and all related matters be moved to the restricted fiche of the officer’s OMPF.  This will allow the officer to be in line for promotion and to continue his career.
