Sexual Assault Conviction Overturned on Appeal

Mr. Cassara recently succeeded in having a client’s sexual assault conviction overturned on appeal.  SSG Daniel Gaskins was convicted at court-martial for sexual assault of a minor and sexual assault of a fellow service member.   He has steadfastly maintained his innocence.  He was originally sentenced to twelve years in prison.  Mr. Cassara succeeded in having his sentence reduced to nine years.    We now were able to get his convictions completely overturned, leaving him convicted only of a simple assault and “carnal knowledge.”  This will dramatically reduce his sentence.  Mr. Cassara has been involved in this case for nearly six years, and through tenacious advocacy, the case is coming to an end in the client’s favor.

If your or a loved one has been convicted at court-martial, you should discuss your case with an experienced court-martial appeal lawyer.   If you are pending court-martial, call me for a free consultation.
