We often have clients who don’t realize they have undiagnosed PTSD until it comes out in self destructive ways. We recently represented a combat veteran who was self medicating his undiagnosed PTSD with alcohol. After receiving a DUI, he was separated under other than honorable conditions. We are pleased to report that based on our petition, he has had his misconduct viewed as directly related to his untreated PTSD, and the Board granted him an Honorable discharge. A great result for a hero Soldier who was unable to get the help he needed while on active duty. If you or a loved one has been discharged from the Military, contact us today.
